The Xbox Games Showcase was held earlier today. We had the PlayStation State of Play last week, and shortly after was the big Summer Game Fest event. However, we knew that Microsoft was cooking something up. This event was advertised a long time ago, and with it, we had a slew of world premieres and updates to some of our most anticipated games coming from Microsoft’s first-party lineup. However, to kick the show off, we got the first look at High on Life 2.
If you enjoyed the first installment, then get ready for its sequel. The developers at Squanch Games are working through its big successor installment. Of course, being that this is an announcement trailer, we didn’t get too many of the finer details. But this trailer still allowed us a look at some over-the-top combat and wacky weapons we’ll have at our disposal.
At the moment, we know that it’s coming to Xbox Series X/S, PC, and, of course, Xbox Cloud. You can also expect this game to land on Xbox Game Pass. Beyond that, we’re still waiting for its official release date to be unveiled to the public.
So far, all we know is that the development team is working to release this game this winter. Beyond that, we’re left guessing. However, if you missed out on the actual trailer reveal, you can find it available to view below. Meanwhile, if you haven’t played the first installment, High on Life is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
