Tomorrow is the big day. It’s the day when the Switch 2 launches, and we all get to see just how well the hype is and whether it was worth it. There will be a couple of key titles that many will dive into once the system goes live and everything is updated, and that includes several titles from the OG Switch, which are getting some key upgrades for the new system. However, one title that you shouldn’t let slip under your radar is the Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour. This is a game that is dedicated to letting you know all about the Nintendo Switch 2 and the many ways it works.
While $10 might seem like a lot to pay for a “tech demo,” it’s much more than that, as a new overview trailer for the game shows. Indeed, Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is very much about helping players come to terms with everything that the system offers and the incredible technology that lies within, but there are games to play, and you’ll get to play them while testing out things like the Switch 2 Joy-Cons, which have been heavily overhauled to do even more, such as be used as mouse controls.
In many ways, this game is a “very Nintendo thing,” as it’s incredibly unexpected, has its own charm to it, and you might find a lot more than you expected once you try it out. You can watch the full overview trailer below:
With the launch imminent, it will be interesting to see how well this game does sales-wise, but that’s not the only question that fans will have on their minds. Many were hoping that a Nintendo Direct would happen this week to help hype up the system even further and showcase the many titles that are coming down the pipeline. As of yet, that hasn’t happened. However, we could get it next week to coincide with things like the Summer Game Fest; it just depends on what Nintendo wants to do.
The reason for this desire is that right now, we only know a handful of exclusive 1st-party titles for Switch, and not all of them have a release date. Fans want to know when they’ll be able to get these titles and how long they have to wait for them. Plus, they want to know what there is to look forward to as 2026 comes around.
Hopefully, all will be revealed soon.
