THQ has announced that they will be upgrading every pre-order of Darksiders II to a Limited Edition. The promotion is available to all three platforms the game is being released on: the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

The Limited Edition of Darksiders II includes the standard retail game in addition to a unique code allowing players to download Argul's Tomb, a single-player DLC expansion, for free once it becomes available. The Limited Edition is available at no extra cost.

Additionally, the company has announced a Collector's Edition for all three platforms, which includes the Limited Edition as well as a life-sized replica Death Mask with display stand, a unique Shadow of Death armor and scythe set for use in game, a digital copy of the soundtrack, and a hardcover Darksiders II artbook. The Collector's Edition is anticipated to sell for $99, although prices may vary.

Darksiders II follows the exploits of Death, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, in an action-packed tale that runs parallel to the events in the original Darksiders game. This journey propels Death through various light and dark realms as he tries to redeem his brother War, the horseman blamed for prematurely starting the Apocalypse in Darksiders.
