Little Nightmares III Release Date Potentially Leaked

May 23, 2025 by Dennis Patrick

Here’s when you can expect it!

Fans of the Little Nightmares series know that a third installment is underway. However, we’ve been in the dark right now about when Little Nightmares III will be available in the marketplace. Fortunately, it looks like the release date has leaked online. If this proves true, we won’t have to wait too long before starting on this brand-new survival horror adventure.

Little Nightmares III might be coming our way on September 15, 2025. That’s thanks to a release date notice on the product listing page for Target. This retailer might have spilled the beans early unless this is a placeholder with a launch date being added next. Still, it’s our first potential look at when we can get the game—outside of the generic launch window of this year.

Thanks to Little Nightmares Source on X for sharing this discovery online; fans are getting excited. With the game potentially coming out this September, there’s a good chance we might see it in some capacity during Summer Game Fest or at least one of the showcases that will pop up during this coming month.

With that said, this third installment will be slightly different, as we know that Tarsier Studios is not involved. Instead, the game is being handled by Supermassive Games. These are the folks who had helped with the Enhanced Edition of Little Nightmares II and have quite a history of horror games. You might have played one of their past games, like an installment to The Dark Pictures Anthology, The Quarry, or Until Dawn.

Still, we don’t expect much of a departure from what made Little Nightmares so beloved in the first place. That said, we do know that we are following two new characters called Low and Alone. The duo will embark on a journey set in the Nowhere, a nightmare filled with hostile creatures and horrifying environments.

Again, we don’t have an official release date announcement. However, when this game launches, it will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
