Halo 4 has been excluded from the spotlight by developer 343 Industries and Microsoft ever since its E3 reveal. The forthcoming installment will spark the start of a new trilogy which will seemingly extend into the next generation of consoles and subsequently onto the Xbox 360's successor. There's still a few hours before the embargo was due to be lifted for what was showcased for Halo 4 during Microsoft's recent Spring showcase event; however, the developer has decided to release the first in-game screenshots of the game a bit earlier.
Following the confirmation of in-game footage due to be shown after the embargo, these images shows off the new-look protagonist Master Chief with 343 Industries stating the following images are directly captured from the engine:
Halo 4 is currently due for a release during the latter stages of 2012.
