The Blood of Dawnwalker Will Have The Quality Of The Witcher 3

February 17, 2025 by Dennis Patrick

Former CD Projekt Red devs are looking at their past work for this game.

The Blood of Dawnwalker already has quite a few players interested in the game. This comes from a brand new studio called Rebel Wolves, which has managed to secure a notable publisher with Bandai Namco Entertainment. However, what is helping this game already gain some footing with the public despite Rebel Wolves being a brand new studio is the folks behind the project.

If you’re unaware, The Blood of Dawnwalker is the debut project from a few former CD Projekt Red developers. Notably, this game is headed by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who was with CD Projekt Red for nearly two decades. They were the director behind The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and, for a time, the head of production for Cyberpunk 2077. But in 2021, he left the studio with a few others and crafted Rebel Wolves.

Now, they are working on The Blood of Dawnwalker, another action RPG centered around vampires who have taken control over humanity. Speaking with GamesRadar, Konrad noted that while they are a smaller studio than CD Projekt Red, they are still actively working to create a AAA gameplay experience. After working on The Witcher 3, that’s the level of quality they are seeking to achieve again.

In terms of quality, we definitely look at AAA, because this is where we are coming from, the quality level of The Witcher 3. Definitely, our games are not as huge in terms of amount of content and gameplay hours – we are a smaller studio, this is our first project, so we definitely are building something smaller. But we want to build something as robust in terms of quality, maybe a bit shorter. – Konrad Tomaszkiewicz

However, despite the urge to bring this level of quality to The Blood of Dawnwalker, it’s not a game that will match the length of CD Projekt Red’s beloved RPG release. Instead, Konrad noted that they are currently looking at about thirty to forty hours of gameplay.

Unfortunately, we’re not certain when the studio will be ready to see this one launch into the marketplace. While we don’t have a release date yet, the game is set to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. For now, you can view a game trailer for The Blood of Dawnwalker in the video we have embedded below.
