There may be reason to believe that Grand Theft Auto Online + is coming to PC very, very soon.

As reported by RockstarIntel, a Rockstar customer recently answered a survey from the company that raises this question:
“How likely would you be to subscribe to GTA+ in the next 3 months if it were available on your primary platform?”
Implicit in this question, of course, is the assertion that Rockstar could launch Grand Theft Auto Online + for PC by April 2025. While it is possible that Rockstar has no plans for this and genuinely just wants to ask, it would logically follow that if Rockstar wasn’t ready to do so that quickly, they would have asked about bringing it to PC in four months, half the year, or even longer.
The question certainly also implies that Rockstar isn’t sure if the Grand Theft Auto Online + subscriptions is even worth it. Take-Two may not be entirely satisfied with the money that the subscription is making, and they opened up the conversation on making it available outside PlayStation and Xbox.
As we reported last year, Grand Theft Auto Online + offers a lot of great features including QOL for the fans who need it. One of those QOL features is a companion mobile app that lets you make changes to the game even if you’ve left the game itself at home on your favored console.
The big issue this time is the realization that Rockstar could have shared these QOL features to all players. One could argue this borders from just simple greed to the developer gatekeeping accessibility and equal opportunities for all players.
But then this goes without saying that Rockstar should have made this available to PC players a long time ago. The fact that it’s not isn’t just making the fans unhappy, Rockstar is clearly leaving money on the table by not acting on this sooner.
But then, Rockstar could be developing this alongside Grand Theft Auto 6 as an even better experience that would require that good old Rockstar premium pricing. At the end of last month, we reported the rumor that Rockstar is thinking about splitting up Grand Theft Auto 6 and Grand Theft Auto Online.
If this all lines up, Rockstar could be fishing for feedback to decide if they should launch Grand Theft Auto Online on PC this quarter. And that decision would also involve including the very valuable Grand Theft Auto Online + subscription service. But for now, we’ll see if Rockstar chooses to speak out on Grand Theft Auto 6 anytime soon.
