Marvel Snap Has Found A New Publisher

January 29, 2025 by Dennis Patrick

There shouldn’t be any sudden outages in the future.

Marvel Snap players are resting easy again. It wasn’t long ago that there was a massive outage within the United States. I’m sure you are all already familiar with the matter. However, it essentially dealt with security concerns as the app and the popular social media platform TikTok lost access within the country.

Developers at Second Dinner were working hard to bring the game back, and as you all likely know, it made a return. This wasn’t a long outage, fortunately. After just a couple of days, it was back in action, but the root cause of this takedown was over the publisher, Nuverse, which fell under restriction by the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, or the PAFACA. Either way, it’s a long name.

HEEEYY! Thank you for your incredible support and patience during the recent outage in the United States. Now that we’re available for download on mobile app stores again, we're excited to share some news about the future of MARVEL SNAP!

To ensure this never happens again, and…

Regardless, we’re not focusing on what happened earlier this month. Instead, we want to share the news that they have acquired a new U.S.-based publisher with Skystone Games. Likewise, the developers on X noted that almost all of their operational and publishing responsibilities are now in-house at Second Dinner. This wasn’t an easy venture, as it was all hands on deck to make this happen. That included not only Second Dinner but Nuverse, Skystone Games, and Marvel.

So again, it’s reassuring that work was quickly happening behind the scenes to ensure there were no potential outages again with the game. At least, that’s what it would seem right now. So, if you haven’t been playing this title and with the fiasco that happened earlier this month, you’re now wanting to check it out, you can do so.

This digital card game focuses on the various iconic Marvel characters and is available to enjoy right now on mobile devices, both Android and iOS, along with the PC platform. You can find a trailer for Marvel Snap in the video we have embedded below.
