Inevitably, the World of Warcraft MMORPG was bound to receive Warcraft movie tie-in items for the game. These new weapons and achievements can be unlocked anytime when you log-in for the next two months after the release of the Warcraft movie.
Alliance members get the Fight for the Alliance achievement, along with the Replica Lion’s Fang sword and Replica Lion’s Heart shield.
Horde players get Fight for the Horde as an achievement, awarding them Replica Blood Guard’s Cleaver and Staff of Gul’dan.
The alpha client of Legion unveiled these tie-in items, with the release of the version 21691 build. You can check them out via this Wowhead video.
The Warcraft movie releases June 10th. It’s the culmination of many years of efforts to try and get the World of Warcraft story on the big screen. It was a project shrouded in internet myth and mystery. At most, there were rumors. It’s been a long time coming. It would be great if critics loved it, as that would open a lot of doors for video game movies in general. Here’s hoping.
The next expansion pack, World of Warcraft Legion, is expected to come out August 30, 2016.
