Xbox Game Pass Will Lose These 6 Games This Month

January 7, 2025 by Dennis Patrick

Here’s your last chance to enjoy these games on the service.

It’s always exciting to enter a new month if you’re subscribed to something like Xbox Game Pass. You know that there are first-party Microsoft titles that will land on Xbox Game Pass at launch. However, a slew of third-party games are featured on the subscription service. Today, we finally have the first wave of games coming to the subscription service this month. However, just like past wave announcements, it also comes with a few games heading out of the service.

Not every game will remain on Xbox Game Pass after it’s added. While you don’t typically have to worry about first-party games leaving the service, that’s not the case for third-party titles. Instead, these games will only be available on the subscription service for a duration of time. Unfortunately, we don’t know how long these games will remain on the service, but we are given a small heads-up on what’s leaving with the official wave announcements. We know six games will soon be removed for this first wave in January.

Xbox Game Pass Leaving January 15

–Common’Hood

–Escape Academy

–Exoprimal

–Figment

–Insurgency Sandstorm

–Those Who Remain

Seeing a game you’ve been enjoying land on the leaving soon category is bitter news. While you still have some time left to enjoy the game through Xbox Game Pass, there’s an incentive in place for you to pick the games up. Rather than just giving you a small heads up on when the title is leaving the service, Microsoft also adds a special 20% discount if you wish to purchase the game.

If you’re subscribed to Xbox Game Pass, you can take advantage of the discount. Of course, you must purchase the game before they leave the subscription service to save 20%. So, if you’re finding the game enjoyable and want to keep it in your digital library, you’ll at least have the opportunity to do so at a slightly discounted rate.
