Rockstar Adds DirectX 11 Support for L.A. Noire on PC

February 16, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Owners of LA Noire on the PC can now experience improved graphics thanks to DX11 support.

Rockstar has issued a surprise update for the PC version of L.A. Noire which not only fixes a number of graphics-related issues with the game but also adds DirectX 11 support for compatible hardware.

The patch upgrades the game for both Windows Vista and Windows 7 using DX11 graphics cards. Those who own the game can now choose between DX9 and DX11 renderers in the game launcher. Not bad, for a console port.

L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition is available on Steam for $49.99. The Complete Edition includes all previously released DLC for the console versions, including additional outfits and weapons, and the cases "Nicholson Electroplating", "Reefer Madness", "Naked City", "Slip of the Tongue", and "Consul's Car", all of which are available to the player as you go through the case desks.
