Star Wars Outlaws 1.1.2 Update Is Here & Finally Addresses Stealth Woes

September 10, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

Star Wars Outlaws latest patch update is now available.

Star Wars Outlaws is the latest release for the mega IP. Whether you enjoyed it or felt that the developers missed the mark, a new update is here to make the experience better. We have already heard reports about what the developers wanted to address. One of the biggest issues players were dealing with was the stealth mechanics.

As we reported yesterday, Ubisoft’s developers were fully aware that there were some major difficulty spikes early in the game. In an early mission, players are required to use stealth to get around the area, but if they’re caught, they have to restart. The problem was that players were reporting that stealth can be incredibly tough, especially with in-game bugs.

Developers noted that this particular early level could be considered a bit unfair, and they would address that with a new patch update. Fortunately, the wait is over for this patch, and the latest update has been released for all supported platforms. This patch update will take you to 1.1.2 of the game, where tweaks and improvements were made to some challenging stealth moments.

That should hopefully ease the headaches players were having. Beyond that, cross-progression has now been added through Ubisoft Connect. Of course, you can also expect various performance and stability fixes. There are now new idle animations for NPCs across the different planets, adjustments to general gameplay mechanics, and, most importantly for some players, fixes to various quests that would prevent progression.

You can read the full patch notes right here. Just be mindful of spoilers for the various fixes added to the quests portion of the patch notes. Meanwhile, those of you who have yet to pick up a copy of Star Wars Outlaws can do so right now on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. We also have a Before You Buy video coverage of the game, which you can view below. This will give you our overall impressions of the game. However, keep in mind that this was from a review copy of the game and might not accurately represent the gameplay today with the latest patch update.
