It’s Time to Kickstart Planescape Torment 2

February 10, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Chris Avellone says that he’s open to the possibility of Kickstarting a sequel to Planescape.

Hot on the heels of Double Fine's recent Kickstarter success, fans of the old Black Isle Studios title Planescape Torment have suggested to its creator Chris Avellone, who's now at Obsidian Entertainment, to pursue Kickstarter funding for the development of a sequel.

Avellone, who worked on both KOTOR2 and Fallout: New Vegas at Obsidian, was open to the suggestions. He responded:

@Msanton1 Hmmmm. I admit, I've got Kickstarter fever now. I feel like a bunch of doors suddenly appeared in game development.

It's a far cry from a confirmation by the developer, but it's definitely something we—and many other gamers—would stand behind and would love to see become a reality.

Tell @ChrisAvellone how much you'd like to see Planescape Torment 2 happen.
