Half a dozen new screenshots from The Last of Us have surfaced on the internet. No one knows where they came from, and they aren't saying, but it appears that the pictures are in-game captures.
The screenshots depict the game's two main characters Joel and Ellie wandering through an abandoned city, set upon by other human survivors who have things other than survival on their minds.
The screenshots are new, and depict the same level covered in a recent issue of GameInformer. The fidelity of the graphics is on par with Uncharted 3.
The screenshots are accompanied by three concept images of the game's setting, two of which depict an abandoned city overgrown with foliage, and another that looks like a USAMRIID or CDC outpost with armed men in white HAZMAT suits.
The Last of Us is being developed by Naughty Dog exclusive to the PlayStation 3. It is set for release later this year.
