The developers at IO Interactive have revealed the times when you’ll be able to jump into the second episode of the newly released Hitman, which is being released piece by piece in an episodic fashion. Ahead of its release, IO Interactive and Square Enix have put out a new gameplay trailer at PAX East, which you can check out below, which showcases footage of the new Sapienza mission.

There is a mandatory update across all versions of the game on the PC and consoles to catch the game up to speed with new bug fixes and improvements, laying the foundation for the Sapienza episode. Here’s what it includes:

New Destination: Sapienza

  • New Story mission: World of Tomorrow
  • 10 new Opportunities for ‘World of Tomorrow’
  • 20 levels of Sapienza Mastery, with the following unlocks:
    8 new Sapienza starting locations
(+1 starting location unlocked via a challenge)
8 new Sapienza Agency Pickup locations
    6 new weapon/gear unlocks
  • New suit for Sapienza: Italian Suit
  • 75+ Sapienza-specific challenges
  • 7 new trophies/achievements
  • New ‘The Sarajevo Six’ Contract. Target 2: The Enforcer. (PS4 Exclusive)

Live Content for Sapienza will include: New Escalation Contracts, Elusive Targets & New Featured Contracts (Contracts Mode)

In addition to all that, players will experience improvements to the opportunities system, more “hide in plain sight” options while wearing his trademark suit, and more ambient dialogue. There will also be a reconnect option, which will be especially useful if you’re having connection problems. This way, you won’t lose your progress. Challenge rewards are now also awarded instantly upon completion instead of when completing a mission, so you won’t have to repeat them over and over again if you reload or fail a mission. If you do happen to die a lot, you’ll be happy to know that the load times have been cut down by 50% across all platforms.

There’s a bunch more stuff that’s being added in the new update, which is free for everyone.

A trailer for The Sarajevo Six contract can be seen below.

Hitman will get a full release once all its episodes are out, but you can pick it up right now if you don’t have the patience to wait for the content to be done. If you’ve yet to play Hitman be sure to check out our review.

The second episode will go live at 8am-10am PST on April 26 across the PS4, Xbox One and Steam.
