The Gears of War 4 beta rolled out on April 18th for people who got their hands on Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, and Xbox Gold subscribers will get a crack at it on April 25th.
But today we got a new gameplay trailer for Multiplayer.
For anyone who played Gears of War multiplayer in the past, it’s pretty clear that the game is still sticking to what it does best here. The goriest kind of butt-kicking you can imagine.
In the trailer, three new maps are shown off. “Dam”, “Foundation”, and “Harbor”. New modes such as “Dodgeball”, “Co-op Versus”, and “Escalation” were mentioned as well, joining alongside five returning fan favorite modes.
If you managed to read level 20 during the beta, you get some sweet loot. A vintage Kait character skin, a vintage Kait emblem, a unique bounty card (double XP boost for one match), and vintage weapon skins.
It’s a pretty hard deal to pass up, getting free loot for beta participation. Many games these days don’t give you anything at launch for participating in the beta.
