Kinect Star Wars, Custom 360 Bundle Launching April 3

February 7, 2012 by Josh Harmon

LucasArts’ waggle-athon finally has a release date.

Microsoft's Major Nelson has announced that Kinect Star Wars will be out on April 3, as will the exclusive Star Wars themed Xbox 360 bundle announced alongside the game at last year's E3.

The game comes with five separate modes, each of which will features unique motion controlled gameplay set in the Star Wars universe. The headliner is ostensibly the Jedi Destiny campaign, but let's be honest here. We're all here for the Galactic Dance Off mode, which Microsoft bills as "loaded with Star Wars-themed pop tunes."

The bundle features a console featuring custom paint job and sounds inspired by R2-D2, a gold C-3PO-themed controller, an exclusive white Kinect sensor, a 320GB hard drive, and a copy of the game. According to the Amazon listing, it'll retail for $459.99.

The game and bundle were both originally scheduled to launch in holiday 2011, before they were delayed to allow the title to reach its "full potential."
