The Technomancer Dated, Gameplay And Customization Detailed In New Trailer

April 19, 2016 by Stephen Daly

The cyberpunk Martian adventure offers a range of fighting styles and customization options.

Paris-based Spiders Studio has announced that its sci-fi action game The Technomancer will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 21st.

Publisher Focus Home Interactive has confirmed that the date applies to all platforms after the PlayStation Blog announced the PS4 date.

The above trailer offers a new look at gameplay, character customization options for protagonist Zachariah, and insight into the various fighting styles on offer – including the advantages that can come from switching style mid-fight.

During the game, players will explore different locations across the planet Mars and discover more about the various cultures separated from Earth. There’s also a dynamic conversation dialogue feature and a story that changes depending on the choices you make and the relationships you have with other characters.

The Technomancer was announced back in April 2015 and takes place on the red planet during the War of Water.

Spiders Studio CEO and creative director Jeanne Rousseau explained the game’s setting and story, saying: “You’ll meet Zachariah, a rookie Technomancer from Abundance, one of the powerful corporations on the red planet. Technomancers are formidable warriors harnessing destructive electrical powers channelled through their implants.

“Your journey starts at Ophir, capital of Abundance, erected from the remains of the first human settlements in the Ophir Chasma. Picking from three combat stances, you’ll be able to specialise your style of play, making use of the Technomancer’s special electrical abilities to buff yourself or actively attack the many monsters roaming the red planet.”
