It’s finally here! The much anticipated Mafia III – One Way Road Story Trailer boasts deep characters, a vibrant setting and beautiful graphics for 2K’s upcoming title.
Mafia III is set in New Bordeaux, Hangar 3’s Rendition of New Orleans. It’s 1968 and the rules have changed. After years in Vietnam, protagonist Lincoln Clay returns to find his home has been taken over by the Italian mob. Lincoln will work to rebuild the Black Mob, the only people he’s ever called family, and with the help of his merry band of associates, Vito, Burke and Cassandra, Lincoln will begin to break his enemies control of New Bordeaux, piece by piece. “Family isn’t who you’re born with, it’s who you die for.”
GameStop’s preview of Mafia III states that the game is the first truly open-world installment in the franchise and has 9 districts of the city, each with their own crime racket. Extortion, moonshine brewing, prostitution and ceasing and reselling construction materials are just a few you’ll come across on the streets of New Bordeaux.
The game also provides smart level design, allowing players to choose how they’d like to approach each scenario. Use subterfuge to sneak into the hotel from the garage or simply enter the lobby guns blazing, it’s entirely up to you.
Mafia III will release worldwide on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 7.
