Until Dawn PlayStation Store Removal Is Likely A Glitch

January 26, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

Don’t panic just yet.

Until Dawn has had quite a few headlines recently. The video game has been around for several years, but newcomers continue to enjoy the horror cinematic experience. But new reports have been circulating online that the Supermassive Games horror title has been pulled from various regions on the PlayStation Store. That might have had some fans wondering if this is to make room for the newly reported Until Dawn remastered edition coming our way. However, it’s likely not a title actually being pulled but rather a glitch that has dropped the game from being made available.

Rumors today have suggested that Until Dawn is being pulled from select regions on the PlayStation Store. This report also started to spread around online quickly, but one industry insider had chimed in and alerted their followers; this is likely a glitch and one that has been problematic in the past. Looking back at the history of Until Dawn, it seems this title has been missing on the PlayStation Store in the past before getting put back online. Bilbill-kun is a reliable industry insider and started to alert their followers that this glitch was reported in the past, so we’ll likely see the game return shortly if your region still shows the game is unavailable.

🚨 FACT CHECKING 🚨

Some rumors are going so far and are even being relayed by some journalists

This news also comes just after reports surfaced that a remastered Until Dawn is coming out into the marketplace soon. We don’t have any official insight just yet on the game, but if it is true, then we should see the game arrive both on the PlayStation 5 and PC platforms. Again, that’s not official right now, so we’re still waiting for the game announcement from the folks over at Sony. Meanwhile, that’s not the only shred of news to come out regarding this IP.

It was also unveiled that Until Dawn was set to receive a movie adaptation. Just how the film will play out and who will be involved is a mystery. With the game focused on players making a series of choices to try to keep the characters alive, it will be interesting to see just how the film adapts the source material. However, even earlier this month, we got a report regarding the original development team behind Until Dawn. It might surprise you that Until Dawn wasn’t originally developed under Supermassive Games. Instead, the game was originally being worked on through Sony’s London Studio.
