Star Wars Outlaws Reportedly Arriving Late 2024

January 2, 2024 by Dennis Patrick

We might be waiting a while for Ubisoft’s Star Wars game.

Update:

It seems that the mention of late 2024 has been corrected.

Original Story…

If you were intrigued by Star Wars Outlaws, you might have been waiting on a release date. We knew Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment was working on this next big Star Wars game. However, we didn’t know exactly when the game would arrive. Instead, the developers, alongside Ubisoft, simply offered a generic 2024 launch window. Fortunately, we might have narrowed the release window for the game. However, it’s looking to be later this year, so you’ll have to wait a good while.

Thanks to IGN, we’re finding out that a post from Disney Parks commented on Star Wars Outlaws. The post comments on a few notable Disney-focused events and releases for this year. Included was the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws game. According to the post, it seems that Star Wars fans can expect this new game to be released late this year. Unfortunately, that’s all that was given in this post, so it looks like we’re going to be waiting a good while before it’s ready to release. Of course, video games are often delayed, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see if Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment team is forced into delaying this game out of 2024 altogether.

This is an upcoming open-world Star Wars game if you haven’t been keeping tabs on Star Wars Outlaws. We know that this game takes place between the Star Wars films The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. While details are a bit light right now, we are playing the role of an outlaw scoundrel by the name of Kay Vess. Kay partnered up with a companion called Nix; the duo will attempt one of the biggest heists from the Outer Rim.

We should hopefully see plenty more of this game within the year if Massive Entertainment is able to bring the game out in time. You might be familiar with their previous works if you’re unfamiliar with the studio by name. Most recently, the game studio launched Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, but before that, they were known for Tom Clancy’s The Division series. Hopefully, the studio is able to deliver big for Star Wars fans. Currently, Star Wars Outlaws is slated to launch this year for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms. In the meantime, while we wait for more information to emerge online, you can view a trailer for the game below.
