Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Cast and Characters Revealed

February 2, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

A new trailer for Operation Raccoon City shows off the game’s playable characters.

Capcom’s Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is an offshoot of the popular Resident Evil series.

Taking place between the events of RE1 and RE2, players assume the role of Umbrella Corporation commandos tasked with containing the situation in Raccoon City and cleaning up their company’s mistakes. Players will see how the disaster that consumed the city unfolded from an angle different from the one veterans of the series are familiar with. A new trailer has been released to show off the game’s cast.

The player can take on the role of one of six commandos to participate in cooperative missions online with three other players. The characters you can choose from include Lupo, an assault specialist; Vector, recon; Bertha, the medic; Spectre, surveillance expert and sniper; Four Eyes, a field scientist who deploys experimental weaponry out in the field; and Beltway, the demoman.

The Umbrella operatives will face adversaries from the US Military’s Echo Six, a special operations force. The team sent to stop them consists of Dee-Ay, assault; Willow, recon; Harley, the medic; Party Girl, surveillance; Shona, field scientist; and Tweed, demolitions expert.

Both teams must fight the horde of infected mutants while fending off and outsmarting each other, resulting in a three-way battle.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is set for release on March 20 for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
