Tracer, the Overwatch character who was the subject of a controversy last week, is arriving as a playable hero in Heroes of the Storm later this month. Tracer is the first Overwatch character to grace the MOBA.
Gamers who pre-order Overwatch: Origins Edition on Battle.net now will be able to unlock the character early on April 19, while everyone else will have to wait until April 26 to play her.
This time-jumping adventurer equips a chronal accelerator designed by the scientist gorilla Winston to zip around the battlefield. She also has her two pulse pistols at the ready to make short work of foes. Classified as an Assassin, Tracer is designed to catch enemies off guard and vanishing before the rest of the team has a chance to react to her harassment.
Tracer is only character who can move while attacking, and has a single Heroic ability that she can customize by upgrading it in three different ways. Blizzard has put together a video to explain how she plays.
