Valve has announced that the upcoming tournament for Dota 2, The International 2016 Championship, will take place at KeyArena in Seattle this August.
Fans of the game can spectate the event live at the venue when it’s held between August 8 to 13. Tickets will go on sale starting April 7, with two available ticket options:
- The Midweek ticket $75: grants attendance to the first four days of the event August 8-11; access to opening ceremony and the All-Star match.
- The Finals ticket $100: grants access to the last two days of the main event, August 12-13.
Both ticket options can be purchased in a single order if you intend to watch every day of the event.
Open Qualifiers for The International will take place on June 21, and will be followed by the Regional Qualifiers on June 25.
Anyone who attends the event will receive special in-game items for use in Dota 2. At First Blood in any game, 500 exclusive attendee treasures will be given out, each containing un qiue v ersions of this year’s Secret Shop Immortals. Attendees should have a badge linked to their Steam account and be in the arena when that happens.
Anyone unable to spend the extra $100 to watch the finals can watch it for free in the area outside during the two final days.
