Resident Evil 6 Lets You Carry Guns Akimbo

In what seems like a nod to John Woo films, Capcom is adding dual wielding functionality into Resident Evil 6’s run-and-gun combat mechanics.

Jorge Bocanegra of Rely On Horror spotted a scene in which Leon Kennedy can be seen wielding two pistols at once. As Bocanegra notes, firing weapons akimbo isn’t exactly new to the Resident Evil series, having first made an appearance in Code Veronica, but it’s nice to see it make a return to Resident Evil 6.

It’s curious as to whether weapons aside from the handguns will be dual-wieldable, or if carrying two pistols acts as a single weapon as it does in some other games. Either way, I like what I’m seeing.
