Infinite Arms Combines Gaming With Toys On Mobile Platforms

March 23, 2016 by Ian Miles Cheong

Infinite Arms its a game for toy collectors.

A new outfit called Jumo, Inc. has just announced its first game, Infinite Arms. It’s described as a “connected, free-to-play gaming experience” that’s designed to merge mobile gameplay with physical toys.

If you own an iOS or Android device (and who doesn’t these days?), you’ll be able to play it.

Infinite Arms was conceived by a host of veterans in the gaming and toy industries, including Keiichi Yano (Elite Beat Agents and Lips), Chris Esaki (Kill Switch, Mass Effect, Gears of War), Akio Fujii (Bandai Namco, DeNA), Yasuo Yakahama (Transformers and Tamagotchi), and Tom Abernathy (League of Legends, The Division).

Designed to cater to both kids and adults, Infinite Arms offers fast-paced action combat, a narrative, high quality graphics and makes use of Bluetooth technology to unify toys and gaming. It’s powered by Unreal Engine 4 and offers both a full narrative-driven campaign, as well as multiplayer arena modes and squad-based missions with up to six players.

The toys that go with the game are particularly impressive, offering the following features:

  • 20+ articulation points ensure action figures are fully poseable.
  • Strategically customizable action figures incorporate up to 4 attachable weapons from a periodically updated library.
  • Action figures connect instantly, seamlessly and hassle-free within the game.
  • Built-in speakers communicate vital feedback to players.
  • Premium metallic paint finishes make for top tier aesthetics.

Check out how a couple of the toys look below.
