In addition to the Exploding Palm skill exhibited by the game’s Monk class, the Demon Hunter’s Grenades have also been given an exhibition of sorts by the good folks at IncGamers.
Grenades, a powerful skill, can be further enhanced—like all other attacks in the game—with the addition of the new Runestone system unique to Diablo III.
Whereas regular grenades plainly serve to deal damage, slotting the Alabaster rune into the skill allows it a 10% chance to stun enemies for 1.8 seconds. I can’t imagine what the NYPD wouldn’t do to have these at their disposal while curtailing the freedoms of peaceful protesters at Zucotti Park.
Taken from Saddam Hussein’s own armory, the addition of the Crimson rune turns grenades into gas grenades which apply poison damage in a gas cloud that deal additional weapon damage to enemies in the vicinity.
Much like how the Indigo rune allows the Exploding Palm to affect multiple enemies, slotting it into the Grenade turns the explosives into cluster bombs. A legless Afghan boy just shed a tear.
Last, but not least is the Obsidian rune, which turns the three grenades into a single, very large fire bomb which explodes for 144% weapon damage and knocks back enemies within its radius.
