The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Store Page References DLC

February 27, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Fans might have even more new content to enjoy in Tears of the Kingdom.

There is always a ton of hype built up around Nintendo’s biggest IPs. One of those IPs will be getting a new installment in the coming months. Fans eager to dive into another adventure are likely awaiting the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This next big installment for the franchise will follow after the thrilling story Nintendo laid down in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. But what we don’t have right now is any official details of what DLC might be coming with this game. Fortunately, fans are spotting one little detail on the official Nintendo store page for this game which indicates there’s already some content planned out for the game after its launch date.

We’re still guessing just what this next installment will bring, but we might have DLC inbound to ponder about as well. The official store page for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom references the full game requiring DLC, which is sold separately. That’s not too surprising that there will be DLC for this game as we’ve also seen Nintendo release DLC for the previous The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. So now the waiting game is on Nintendo to unveil what exactly this DLC will entail for players and how soon after the game launches will the DLC be available for players to purchase.

Now, this could also be a mistake on Nintendo’s part. Perhaps this line was not meant to be added to the store page, but it did create quite a bit of buzz online. Regardless, we won’t know more until Nintendo finally unveils the official details for players. We’re still waiting on more information to come out regarding the full base game as well. But the teasers do showcase both Link and Zelda having another fight to save their world once again.

With this new installment, there also seems to be more focus on vertical exploration with floating islands. There’s also bound to be more caves to venture into and, of course, more boss battles to partake in. We’ve even seen some new means of transportation in the video teaser showcasing the game so far, which can be viewed in the video we have embedded above. For now, it looks like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be available for players to pick up and play on May 12, 2023, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch platform.
