Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Drops A Perk And Item Until Further Notice

January 30, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Here is what you’ll find missing.

If you enjoy the latest Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 release, you might find a perk and item suddenly becoming unavailable. It’s not a glitch, as it looks like Raven Software has announced that two of the game’s components have been disabled. Just like with any competitive online games, there’s always work being put into balancing things out. While this might be an ongoing struggle for developers, the community of players will typically call out any areas they find are unfair. Today, one of those perks was disabled from the game as they are currently working to balance it. This also comes alongside an item being dropped until further notice.

The two drops that were announced to be removed until further notice are Revive Pistol and Birdseye Perk. The Revive Pistol is a field upgrade that can allow players to revive a down player or even use it on themselves. Four shots are available with the pistol, allowing players to help a downed teammate from some distance. Of course, there is no instant revive, as you’ll find there is still the standard countdown to pop up as the teammate gets revived. While you’ll have four shots, there’s only one shot available for a self-revive, as you’ll find the Field Upgrade removed from your inventory when you’re downed. The tweet alerting fans that the item was removed only noted to be offline until they finish investigating an issue.

Meanwhile, there is also a perk removed. Players will find the Birdseye Perk was removed. If you’re not familiar with what this does, the perk allows players to see an enemy position and even the direction they’re facing during a UAV and Radar ping. This could be incredibly useful, but right now, the developers have removed the perk. According to the tweet, the perk was disabled until further notice as they balance it for future implementation into customizable perk packages.

Again, these drops from the game don’t indicate when the developers will be able to bring them back into the fold. Hopefully, players won’t be missing out on this perk and item for too long. Meanwhile, players can dive into Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 right now for free. This battle royale title is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the PC platform.
