WWE 2K23 Teaser Highlights The Cover Athlete John Cena

January 23, 2023 by Dennis Patrick

Get ready for its grand release this March 17th.

Fans of the WWE 2K series have been waiting on the next major installment to make its way out into the marketplace. Just like with any sports video game out there, it’s also a big anticipation to see just which athlete will be making its way onto the cover. Today the development team offered players a tease of the game and who will be landing on the cover. For fans of the wrestling promotion, it looks like the game will be highlighting none other than John Cena. As a result, you can find plenty of focus on the athlete in the teaser trailer.

WWE 2K23 is set to release this March. When it does, you’ll find the general focus here is around John Cena. If you played the previous installments of the wrestling video game franchise, then you know that there is the 2K Showcase mode. Think of this mode as a documentary of sorts. Essentially, you’ll get to take the role of John Cena as the game highlights the different iconic matches over his long career. This should be more than welcomed for John Cena fans who would like to hit the ring and relieve some of the more memorable moments.

With that said, you’ll find that there is another big addition added to the game. In this upcoming installment, you’ll find that the developers have added the WarGames match type. If you’re a fan of WWE, you’re already aware of this match, as it features dual rings and a cage. Of course, there are still plenty of other notable modes within the game if you enjoyed the series. This includes MyGM, MyFaction, MyRise, and more. Of course, this is just a teaser of the game which was highlighted today. The actual game trailer won’t get its grand debut until later this evening.

We’ll likely get another look into the game during tonight’s episode of WWE’s Monday Night Raw. With tonight also celebrating the 30th anniversary of the series, it could make for an excellent opportunity to start advertising the game for the public. Again, if you’re interested in the title, you won’t have long to wait before you can try the game out for yourself. Currently, WWE 2K23 is set to launch into the marketplace on March 17, 2023. When the game does release into the marketplace, you’ll find it on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.
