GTA V’s Map Will be Very Big, Says Co-Founder

January 3, 2012 by Lyle Smith

But just how big?

It seems like GTA V’s map will be substantially larger than that of its predecessor, GTA 4.

Rockstar’s co-founder, Dan Houser, was recently asked whether or not the new Grand Theft Auto would take place in San Andreas and though he just regurgitated most of what the initial press release said back in November, he did reveal a tidbit about the scale of the game.

"I've got to be real careful here, or they will drag me through the office and whip me with barbwire. I will stick to exactly what's in the press release. It's Los Santos and the surrounding countryside – and a very big map."

I guess the question is how big will it be? The biggest yet? Bigger than San Andreas? Bigger than my new year’s morning hangover?!

Stay tuned.
