A new trailer was revealed for the upcoming My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax OVA that will officially release on April 27, 2023. The release is also bundled with a limited edition version of the new game for Nintendo Switch and PS4 that is based on the series. Fans can view the announcement trailer below that contains scenes from the final season.
Written by Wataru Watari and illustrated by Ponkan8, My Teen Romantic Comedy, originally titled My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected, began publishing in 2011 under Gagaga Bunko and eventually came to an end in 2021. The series has a total of 14 light novels published that also include 4 short story collections. A manga adaptation titled “My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected -Monologue-” began publishing in 2012 and is currently ongoing with 21 volumes. The “Monologue” manga depicts the anime adaptation.
Meanwhile, another manga titled “My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected @comic” is a direct manga adaptation of the original light novels, which is also currently being published in English under Yen Press. The US-based publishing company has released the first 18 volumes with the next set to release on April 23, 2023. A current spin-off light novel series by Watari about the main character Yui Yuigahama is currently ongoing.
My Teen Romantic Comedy Anime
The anime series aired for a total of three seasons (2013, 2015, 2020). Much like the final season will be receiving an OVA in April, the previous two seasons received an OVA episode as well. The first season was animated by studio Brain’s Base until it was handed over to studio .feel for seasons two and three. The series went on to become an award-winning rom-com and is argued by some to be the best of its genre alongside side the iconic series Fruits Basket.
My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax is the final season of the anime and can currently be viewed on both Crunchyroll and HIDIVE. No announcement has been made yet on where to watch the upcoming My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax OVA.
