Learning card battling games can be tough especially when it comes to the variety of cards. Take for example Blizzard’s Hearthstone, where there are a ton of different cards, classes, card rarity, battlecry, taunts, deathrattle, mana, spells, and more.
It can be intimidating in trying to learn how to craft a great deck as you learn how to play the game. Now Blizzard does a pretty good job in teaching its players how to play Hearthstone, but crafting decks at the moment could use a facelift.
Today we’re learning about a new deck building mechanic that will soon be in placed within the game. Blizzard calls it Deck Recipes which will feature three deck builds for each hero. While two deck builds will be based on themed recipes, one will feature only Basic and Classic cards.
When this feature rolls out for Hearthstone, players will see a Deck Recipe option when building a new deck. Once they select the option, Hearthstone will showcase how to build the deck, but if you find your collection is short a card or two then the game will toss in two alternative cards you own that would go well with the particular deck build.
As mentioned, this feature will showcase three deck builds for each hero and Blizzard has announced that as the game progresses and new cards are introduced then the Deck Recipes are liable to change. While veteran players may be able to craft a desirable deck of their owns, this Deck Recipe may help inspire some creativity to their next build. Additionally, within the post, Blizzard notes that a big announcement is set to release on March 11, 2016.
