March 2, 2016 by Ian Miles Cheong

The Division will launch next week. Here’s when you can start playing.

Ubisoft has posted details about the launch times for The Division, which releases on March 8. The studio has revealed exactly when the servers will go live and when to expect game reviews to drop.

The studio notes that The Division was always designed to be an online experience, thus players will have to wait for the servers to go live before they can play—even if they managed to pick the game up early from a store that broke the street release date. Players will be able to play alone or group up with others to tackle missions and explore the Dark Zone as a squad.

The Division recently ended its open beta, which saw over 6.4 million players during the test. Ubisoft says that they took the feedback from the players to give the game its last minute shine.

As it’s impossible for the developers to replicate the launch conditions of The Division for a select set of reviewers, they state that reviewers will have to play the game along with everyone else on the live servers when the game is released.

The servers are set to go live at 00:01AM Australian Eastern Daylight Time.

Accordingly, players who got the game digitally for the Xbox One can begin preloading today. PC players (Steam and uPlay) can begin preloading on Thursday, March 3 at 9AM PT. PlayStation 4 players can begin preloads on March 6 at 00:01AM local time, except in Japan where it will be available on March 8.

In the meantime, be sure to check out the 60FPS PC gameplay trailer and the launch trailer.

If you’re on PC and looking to play the game, a free copy is included sales of select GeForce graphics cards and Logitech keyboards. For more on The Division, check out our tag on the game.
