According to Japanese retail tracking firm, Enterbrain, the PlayStation Vita sold 321,000 units in two days. Compare that to Nintendo 3DS, which sold 371,000–a disappointment as far as Nintendo's standards are concerned.
It will hit international shelves on February 22.
The Vita was released in Japan in two different packages, a ¥24,980 Wi-Fi only model and a ¥29,980 model that has both Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. In North America, the two versions will sell for $249 USD and $299 USD and in most European countries they will cost €249 and €299. The UK versions will be priced at £229.99 and £279.99.
