The Chivalry 2 new Winter War update has arrived. The news brings a brand-new team objective map in the form of The Assault on Thayic Stronghold which takes place at Argon II’s final stronghold. Alongside this players can also expect to try out a new weapon in the form of the new Quarterstaff.
The latest update for Chivalry 2 also brings a new progression path to the game in the form of the Campaign Pass. The Campaign Pass will allow players to unlock various new items including armor and currency as they play. The pass will include 20 new armory items and crowns in the free version and a further 18 additional armory pieces, the new frostbite imperfection, and six epic and legendary skins including the Agatha Footman Huscarl Armor set in the premium pass. The Campaign Pass has no time limit so players will be free to unlock items at their own pace. The Premium Campaign Pass can be purchased for a total of 1000 Crowns in-game.
A brand-new armor set and VO bundle have also been added to the store. The Gladiator Bundle comes equipped with brand new vanguard armor in the form of Gladiator armor as well as the Gladiator title and a brand-new character voice.
Chivalry 2‘s new objective map is bound to have players coming back to the game as they venture to the Thayic Stronghold to kill Argon II. The current object orders for the map are as follows:
- Objective 1- Blow up the shoreline defense towers
- Objective 2 – Destroy the stronghold’s bell tower
- Objective 3 – Destroy the stronghold’s banners
- Objective 4 – Lower the drawbridge
- Objective 5 – Capture the courtyard
- Objective 6 – Kill Argon II
The Horses of Falmire also join the battle and will be available at certain stages throughout the game. As mentioned, the new Quarterstaff also makes its way to Chivalry 2 as a weapon that can be equipped by the Crusader subclass of the Knight class. The new weapon will allow players to overwhelm their opponents with speed up close. Alongside this, they’ll also be able to target switch with overhead attacks to help pummel enemies from a distance. The Quarterstaff is a fantastic defensive weapon and will allow players to engage with the enemy defensively at a reduced stamina cost.
Chivalry 2 is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
