Forspoken Deep Dive Video Offers An Awe-inspiring Look Into Athia

November 10, 2022 by Dennis Patrick

Check out the footage right here!

There are a few anticipated video games slated to release in the coming months. One of those games is Forspoken. While we won’t see Forspoken released into the marketplace before 2022 officially wraps, this will be one of the first few big titles to launch within January of 2023. Developed under Square Enix, this new IP has another video highlighting the game once again. However, this time around, the video is giving players a deep dive look into the world of Athia, a location our protagonist will be exploring as she ventures to find a way back home.

Forspoken follows a female protagonist named Frey Holland. Native to New York City, our hero was magically transported to a peculiar world of Athia. We know that Frey is also gifted with supernatural powers as she embarks on a grand journey to find a way back to her home world. We know a bit about the land of Athia already. This is a world that once flourished, but a plague soon changed that. Now beasts roam the world, and evil sorcerers take command.

Citizens have pleaded with Frey to fight back and reclaim the world of Athia. Along the way, she might uncover a means to transport right back to New York City. In this video deep dive, we’re given more insight into Athia. For instance, Frey will be able to interact with different citizens of Athia, which might hold a unique quest to complete. We’re also told of other points of interest already highlighted on the map for players to visit.

These locations could uncover monuments which, upon discovery, can further power Frey. However, that won’t be the only means to power up Frey, as we’re also told of other particular areas that can be discovered that will essentially unlock new skills for Frey to add to her arsenal. Fortunately, we don’t have too long of a wait before we’re able to dive into this game.

As mentioned, Forspoken is slated to launch on January 24, 2023. When the game does launch, you can expect it for the PC and PlayStation 5 platforms. While not initially available on competitive console platforms, it’s worth noting that Forspoken is only a timed exclusive release for PlayStation 5, which will last for two years. In the meantime, you can check out the latest Forspoken deep dive video of Athia in the video player embedded above.
