You Really Don’t Want to Live with a Little Sister

December 6, 2011 by Josh Harmon

When Rapture invades your apartment, you get a moody new soundtrack and decorations, but a tough moral decision to go along with it.

Machinima's new web series, Co-Op Life, imagines on what would happen if video games bled over into real life. Not in a "Skyrim addiction caused me to fail out of college and become homeless" way, but more of a "there's a Big Daddy in the living room" way.

The first episode focuses places BioShock's ever looming choice—whether to save or harvest the Little Sisters—firmly in reality, along with all the hilarious moral quandries that it brings. Is it alright to take the life of a little girl to make yourself more powerful? What if she's really, really annoying and it's way too expensive to babyproof your apartment?

Without spoiling anything, I'll say that the team at Seeco Films does a phenomenal job bringing in the ambiance and absurdities of Rapture into live action, and I'm interested in seeing how they tackle other games in future episodes.

Now, would you kindly go watch the video?
