Video Game Composers Unite for Benefit Album

December 6, 2011 by Lyle Smith

Proceeds going to stuggling musicians

It’s nice to see people helping out their fellow colleagues in need.

Over a dozen video game composers have teamed up to create the ‘Novum Initium’ album withwar proceeds going towards working musicians who are in need of financial aid. The creators of the album are also working in collaboration with the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund organization.

Some of the composers included in the album include Sam Hulick (Mass Effect), Brian Tyler (Modern Warfare 3), Inon Zur, Jack Wall (Mass Effect), Garry Schyman (BioShock), and many more. All music will be original scores.

The album is available for download starting today via iTunes, Amazon MP3, CDBaby.com, Bandcamp, and 7digital. There are also twenty limited edition CDs that are signed by all the composers and the cover art illustrator (shown in the above image), Aurelien Police. They are currently available on eBay.
