Final Fantasy XIII-2 Will Take 40 Hours of Your Life

Stock up on Mountain Dew and Cheetos, because Final Fantasy XIII-2 will feature up to 40 hours of gameplay.

Stock up on Mountain Dew and Cheetos, because Final Fantasy XIII-2 will feature up to 40 hours of gameplay.

Square Enix has revealed that the game will take 30-40 hours to finish and will also allow players to reload from a previous save and play through previous areas of the game with higher-level characters.

The ‘Historia Crux’ will allow you to ‘rewind time’ and replay these areas if you so desire. The game will also feature ‘time paradox’ endings that won’t be available until the game is completed a second time – it sounds very confusing, but chances are if you’ve stuck with the series this long, it’ll be easy enough for you to wrap your head around.

You’ll also receive a fancy new wallpaper if you have a save game from the previous game on your system.

Square Enix have confirmed that they’ve finished the Japanese version of the game, and are currently finishing off the international port.
