Brett Elston of Capcom has announced that Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors will be making it’s way to the PSN in November.
Okay, it’s not a new game as some of the rumors may have suggested, and a lot of fans may be disappointed. For those of you looking for a good, solid hit of nostalgia, however, will be able to enjoy the classic 2-D fighter on the PSN.
For those of you playing at home who may be unfamiliar with the franchise, Dark Stalkers is an exciting and unique combination of 2-D fighting with a horror aesthetic. Instead of American G.Is and schoolgirl tomboys, Darkstalkers gives you the chance to duke it out with succubi, ghosts, and even mummies.
This port will also give old and new fans alike the chance to prove to Capcom that there’s still a significant fanbase for the fighter, which boasts iconic characters such as Felicia and Morrigan. It’s been suggested that this move may possibly be a way for Capcom to test the waters before jumping into a new Darkstalkers title, so if this is the case, it may be in your best interests to give this one a download.
