Infamous: Festival of Blood is Fastest Selling Game on PSN

November 15, 2011 by Ian Miles Cheong

Sony declares that the standalone expansion pack for Infamous 2 is the fastest selling game on the PSN.

Infamous 2 has been highly praised since its release earlier this year, and work on the game looks to be far from over given the recent release of Infamous: Festival of Blood.

Sony was happy to announce that Infamous: Festival of Blood is the fastest selling PS3 digital game ever launched on the PlayStation Network.

Although the vampire-themed game takes place in New Marais, the standalone expansion takes place independently of Infamous 2. Players who don't yet own the original game can simply pick up the new title on PSN. There's no confusion to be had as the game can simply be enjoyed for its standalone story.

In Festival of Blood, the game's protagonist Cole McGrath has been bitten by a vampire and will remain one unless he can kill the master vampire before dawn. It is currently available on PSN for $9.99 USD.
