Call of Duty: Elite Subcribers To Get An Extra 30 Days Due To Server Troubles

November 10, 2011 by Addison Langford

Subscribers of the COD Elite service are set to get an extra 30 days added to their service due to the less than working state of the servers currently.

As we all know this has been a HUGE week for video games, we have Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim coming out tonight at midnight and we had Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 come out this past Tuesday. This version of COD marked the beginning of a new optional service for the game called COD Elite. The service costs $50 a year and grants subscribers access to free DLC monthly, a smart phone app, something called Elite TV and some other junk. It's a great deal if you're a big COD player.

Here’s the problem though, IT’S CHOKING ITSELF TO DEATH! There’s too many players on Elite right now all trying to play and use their apps and talk to their clan that the service has been less than responsive over the last few days. Activision hopes to turn those frowns upside down though by extending everyones subscription an extra 30 days, plus, they have extended the eligibility of founder status to the end of the month for those of you who are still on the fence.
