Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Soundtrack Announced

November 10, 2011 by Lyle Smith

The original Halo is back and it sounds better than ever.

Sumthing Else Music Works, who shares a licensing partnership with Microsoft Studios, has just announced the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Soundtrack featuring new orchestrations of the classic Halo: Combat. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Soundtrack, which was originally composed by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori. It will be available as a 2-disc CD album at retailers on November 15th and for digital download at Sumthing Digital at www.sumthingdigital.com, Amazon MP3, iTunes store, and other digital music sites.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is a remastered version of the original Halo campaign. In addition to all of the new features, achievements, challenges and new fiction to uncover, Halo: Anniversary includes six of the most popular multiplayer maps from the original game and one new Firefight map for cooperative play over Xbox LIVE.

I haven’t played the first Halo since I purchased it for the PC way back in 2003, and I am pretty eager to see how the final product will turn out.
