Ninja Theory’s DmC: Devil May Cry Takes Place in a Different World

November 1, 2011 by Mat Growcott

Are your fans disappointed with what you’ve released of your game so far? Here’s a get out of jail free card that may appeal.

DmC: Devil May Cry is a reboot of the hugely popular Capcom demon slasher. Screenshots were met with general disdain and popular confidence in the direction the series is heading completely disappeared.

But you shouldn't let anything you see in DmC worry you, because it takes place in a seperate world. The Dante we know and love is still out and about, doing what he does, but the Dante in DmC is from an alternate universe and won't have any effect on the other universe at all.

At least, that's according to Dengeki PlayStation, who say developer Ninja Theory suggested this "storyline shift."

So there you have it, no matter how much you hate DmC, no matter if the game comes out and it is pure garbage, all of this is ok because it takes place in an alternate universe and, in alternate universes, anything can happen.
