Gotham Knights Drops Epic Red Hood Character Trailer

August 10, 2022 by Sam Arthurs

Only two months to go.

With Batman dead, who will protect Gotham from its many psychopathic villains and degenerate criminals? Gotham Knights, the upcoming game from publisher WB Games Montreal and developer Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, serves us four badass heroes to step up and become a Dark Knight. Recently, the character trailer for the Knight named Red Hood was just released, and fans are even more hyped for this game to be released. Check out Red Hood’s trailer below.

Gotham Knights, which originally had a 2021 release date but will now be released this year, is an open-world action RPG that takes place in Gotham City. Players will have four characters close to Batman to choose from: Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin. The game will feature the most interactive and dynamic Gotham City yet, as you navigate its criminal-plagued streets to dole out justice. Solve mysteries and fight in intense combat with some of Gotham’s most notorious villains.

Red Hood may be more unfamiliar to some than Batgirl and Robin. His name is Jason Todd, and he has a lot to be angry about. After dying a violent death, he was then resurrected by one of Gotham’s villains. Apparently, resurrection is not a fun process. He is known to have a temper that he works to control, but if you’re in his inner circle? He would gladly step in front of a bullet for you. He’s a loyal friend and feels a lingering loyalty to Batman even after his demise. In the trailer, he says that Batman gave him purpose, and he intends to fulfill that purpose.

Red Hood is in apex physical form. He is brutally strong and fantastic at hand-to-hand combat. His weapons handling skills are also fantastic with both traditional and high-tech weaponry. In the trailer, we can see him not only fighting and shooting, but he has some sort of energy pulse action happening. He shoots a green energy bullet from a gun, and it bounces from victim to victim. He also uses it to hop mid-air over his adversaries at one point. It will be cool to see what else this guy can do at the top of his game. Though we know that he has a temper and some amazing skills, we also know that he adopted Batman’s non-lethal combat philosophy.

You will be able to play Gotham Knights on October 25, 2022. So close! While it was originally going to be available on PS4, it will now only be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The reason for the change was stated as an attempt to deliver the very best gameplay possible. (Hey, that sounds like a very good reason to us.) At the end of the trailer, we also see an announcement that if you pre-order now, you will also get a 233 Custom Batcycle Skin to use in the game, so don’t dilly-dally.
