Galactic Civilizations III Gets An Expansion

Stardock finally announced the new Galactic Civilizations III expansion today. Mercenaries is in development and will launch in February.

There are a few noteworthy additions in Mercenaries:

• New campaign
• New races
• Ability to recruit elite units with special abilities
• New Intergalactic Bazaars to visit
• Two new factions: Arceans and Torians

Mercenaries will come with a free update to Galactic Civilizations III that includes general game improvements. The expansion is available starting February 18.
