Rumor: The Division Performance Significantly Superior On PC

January 23, 2016 by Ryan Parreno

There is no universal agreement on how wide the gap is, but everyone seems to confirm there’s a difference.

Some sources are claiming that Tom Clancy’s The Division is significantly better on PC than on console.

An article from German site PC Games Hardware claims that there is a wide gap between the quality of The Division on PC compared to consoles, particularly Xbox One.

While we can’t go into details on what their review claims, they do cite graphical effects such as volumetric smoke, reflection Quality , Sub-Surface Scattering for the skin, parallax mapping, ambient occlusion and depth of field.

To be clear, the beta players are not in universal agreement. Some players say the difference is negligible, or perhaps not that conspicuous. However, everyone agrees there is a noticeable quality difference between them.

But, why not decide for yourself? You can see some screenshots of how The Division looks below.

Tom Clancy’s The Division will be coming out on March 8 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
