Pimp Your Ride in Dying Light: The Following

January 14, 2016 by Ian Miles Cheong

You can fully customize your vehicle in the upcoming expansion for Dying Light.

Techland, the makers of the zombie killing game Dying Light, are reimagining the whole experience with the release of The Following. The Following takes place in an all new, wide-open area outside the city of Harran and sees the addition of dune buggies that players can drive around in.

In a gameplay trailer released today, the developer went into great detail to talk about the three-fold nature of vehicle development.

"Your buggy is going to be crucial to surviving out in the open, so we want to create an emotional connection between players and their ride," explains producer Tymon SmektaÅ‚a. "On top of the lethal weapons and upgrades you’ll be able to add, there are a lot of cool paintjobs, a number of unmistakable bobble heads and little charms to put inside, so you can really make the buggy your own."

In The Following, players will be able to upgrade their four-wheeled vehicle with all manner of lethal add-ons including flamethrowers, UV lights, ramming bars, and more.

Players will also be able to customize the buggy with over 40 different paintjobs and distinctive accessories.

The vehicle itself can be modified for better suspension, engine, and brakes–parts that increase its performance off-road.

The DLC is set for release on February 9, 2016 on the PC, Xbox One and PS4. Check out the new trailer below.
