That Dragon, Cancer Released On Steam

January 12, 2016 by Ryan Parreno

If there’s one game you should share to your family and non gamer friends, this is it.

That Dragon, Cancer, has released on Steam.

Originally intended as an Ouya exclusive, That Dragon, Cancer managed to persevere in over a year of development through their patron’s struggles and eventual end.

For those of you still unfamiliar with the project, it is a Myst-like adventure game placing you in the shoes of the Green family, living out the four years of their child’s life. You can read more details here.

That Dragon, Cancer would not exist without Ouya, but what was to happen if Ouya itself stopped existing? Last July, Ouya was acquired by Razer after fighting it out in the market for three years. Thankfully, That Dragon, Cancer successfully raised over $ 100,000 on their own to develop the game independently before this came to pass. Valve was also a partner in bringing the game to PC.

Given the short development time, That Dragon, Cancer has low system requirements. You can read requirements for Windows and Mac below.
